RE: 733->Dual 1.2G Processor Upgrade?

2003-03-27 by Mark Jones

I agree, I probably will wait. I have to admit I'm suffering techno-lust,
but what can I say, I'm an EE by profession! Anyhow, I guess this means I
have to move my songs folder to my audio partition? And I'll no longer be
able to back up my songs folder to Zip huh?

Also I'm assuming freeze only applies to audio tracks and audio instruments,
right? Can you freeze aux tracks? Input objects? Busses? Busses w/Input
objects feeding them?

Mark

Hi Mark. If I were you, I would wait until I received Logic 6 and
learned how to use the freeze function.
With the freezing you will be able to use many more plugins and voices
in your sampler, whichever
One you use. If you are still maxing out your CPU with your workload
and work style, then a dual
Processor system will make a large difference. The longer you wait to
upgrade the better a deal you
Will be able to get, so take it easy and don't rush it.

Logic will remember freeze settings. The freezed tracks are stored in
the song folder in a labled
Freeze folder.
