I too have been having problems with the UAD card and have
tried the work around using the IO plug in but it does not always
work. Here is my question for you. When you assign the IO plug
in to the audio or audio instrument track on which you wish to
use a UAD plug in when you designate the input and output on
the deactivated plugin what settings are you using. For example,
say I want to use a pultec eq on audio instrument 1 (and I have
put an exs24 instrument on audio track one with a kick drum in
mono)> So I put a Logic IO helper in the top plug in slot,
however, out of the available choices I do not know which input
number to select. I usually select output 9 because 9
corresponds with my main analog out in my asio configuration.
If you could point out what I am doing wrong it would be greatly
appreciated. I am using the following gear:

G4 450, OS 9.2.2, 512 megs ram, Logic Audio Platinum 6.0,
Sound Diver, 3.04, UAD-1 card, Motu PCI-324 card, Waves Gold
Bundle Native, Absynth, Virtual Guitarist, Unitor 8 II, AMT8. I am
using the Motu PCI-324 console v. 2.4 which when installed
placed asio driver version 2.1 in my Logic ASIO drivers folder,
and placed PCI-324 Sound Manager Driver v. 1.2. in my
extensions folder, and placed the PCI driver v. 1.5 in my
extension folder as well.

thanks
