If your in New York, I don't blame you. I've never found anyone at Sam
Ash there that's very knowledgeable about Logic stuff.

It's true that, technically, the EXS24 SOFTWARE is on the same CD as
Logic 6. Logic come with all of it's "plug ins" built in. That is to
say: you don't need to install them, you only need an access code to
authorize them. By way of letting you evaluate their products, eMagic
has enabled Logic to give you a 28 day demo of all of their plugs.

But this does not in any way mean you don't have to buy the EXS24! If
after the 28 days are up, you still think you like the EXS24, then you
have to buy the box which will give you codes that let you use it
permanently.

Where can you get it? Well at Sam Ash for one place. Which is why
it's so retarded that they told you it "came" with Logic. They
probably had the EXS24 boxes sitting up there right next to the Logic
boxes.

EXS24 is a separate product with a separate price tag. Any site will
tell you so. You can order it as a separate product from just about
any on-line audio merchant out there.

But I would take this beef up with Sam Ash and yell at whoever sold you
the package. There's no forgiving ignorance when $700.00 is on the
line and they misrepresent themselves to you as someone who knows what
they're talking about. If you're happy with Logic, I'd storm in and
say that you were going to buy EXS24 from them (I bought mine at Sam
Ash for $299.00 a few months ago. Luckily I already knew what I was
looking for.) but now you'll order it online because (insert name here)
jerked you around. If you're not happy with Logic, demand that they
take it back and make a general fuss. It should at least make you feel
better :)
