Thanks for the good advice, but I was obviously unclear in my previous 
post. I'm an experienced user with multiple drives and partitions dedicated 
to the proper functions.  The problem I so poorly explained is that Logic 
automatically creates the Giga convert folder inside the Logic folder, 
which is not on my dedicated sample drive. (I know I could move Logic, but 
for organizational purposes I do prefer to keep my software installations 
on the system drive)  I tried creating an alias to my sample drive but that 
didn't work. What I'm hoping is that Logic/EXS24 has an option for 
specifying the location of the converted Giga files, and that I've just 
missed it.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
