As soon as you move samples to another drive, you _will_ force the 
EXS to go looking for them.

See the FAQ, 18.10, for a way to avoid spending hours behind the

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
