It¹s actually quite thought through (although far from perfect): When you do the find unresolved files references¹ it goes through the data. When it finds multiple matches a dialog comes up giving you the several files in question. The PM tells you what the original location (the whole path!!!) & name of the sample was (& this was for samples which I copied to another drive while using version 5, so no PM then!!). If you just copied the whole folder, the path will be more or less the same apart from the drive name, etc, which at least in my case made it quite easy. Only problem: if you do it like I did for a 40GB sample library & there are quite a few matches (I found out I had the Siedlaczek 3 times, Miroslav 2 times, EXS factory sounds 5 times on the computer... Probably happened while reinstalling or in the heat of a session...) you might do a mistake & you can¹t really undo that. As you pointed out (thanks BTW ;-)) you have to open the sample instrumentin question (luckily remembered which ones I messed up) & change it manually. IMO, this is way better then going through 11000 EXS programs, waiting for the EXS to find the right sample, etc Cheers, Gilles [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
