the directory has two possible places to look for samples. Make sure you
have the .exs files in the "sampler instruments" folder and then place the
aif or wav samples in a separate folder preferably on a high speed second
drive in a folder called "exsamples". see if that helps. version 6 adds the
capability of searching the drives for alternate sources. any reason you are
not moving up to 6.0?
