EXS 24 Logic Sampler Users Group

Hello all,

Just started using Logic 5.5 in OS 10.2.5 , I am facing problem
loading sound on my EXS24 in OSX. I am also new to the EXS24 .
I usually use NI Kontakt in OS9 , since Kontakt is not able to run
on OSX yet , I would have to settle for EXS24 for the moment.
For some reason(s) , I tried to load the sounds (came with the EXS24
package) in my current setup, the EXS24 don¹t seem to be able to
load the presets(aiff format). Do I need to do a conversion to EXS
format or some steps I am missing here, someone please advice .....

Hi, did anyone reply to this guy?  I have the exact same problem.  I instal=
led 5.5 
directly from the web.  My Sample Instruments folder is empty.  I see EXSam=
ples 
folders on my EXS cd and my Logic cd, but they are aiff files.  Are they op=
enable as 
instruments?  Nothing happened when I put them in my Sample Instruments fol=
der.

Hi, 

same problem !! I just received the B-type code to authorize my EXS24 for O=
S X and 
when I was finally ready to make music I discovered none of the samples wer=
e 
recognized... The directory appears empty in the plug-in window whereas the=
y do are 
on the drive ! I don't think it come from the AIFF format since the .wav li=
braries aren't 
recognized either...

Help !

the directory has two possible places to look for samples. Make sure you
have the .exs files in the "sampler instruments" folder and then place the
aif or wav samples in a separate folder preferably on a high speed second
drive in a folder called "exsamples". see if that helps. version 6 adds the
capability of searching the drives for alternate sources. any reason you are
not moving up to 6.0?
