Hi Julie, I was in the exact same position and reluctant to switch versions in mid project...however, my itchy fingers got the best of me and after a few initial hassles(make sure to rebuild desktop after installing the new version) I couldn't be happier w the 6.1 - the freeze function is way cool when you've got just a couple too many exs:es taxing the cpu etc., the groups are great... that's my two bits worth...I''m on a G4/667MHz until my G5 Dual 2GIG arrives shortly.best,micke p.s. are you on the 17" laptop? happy with its performance? >Hi all, >Is the transition from logic 5 to Logic 6 a fairly smooth one.
