After taking between 8 and 10 hours to resolve unread files or
whatever building the database is called, my Project Manager still
takes over 15 minutes to open (meaning that's how long it takes to
read the file references and build its tree), and I've been wondering
whether it really is without penalty or injury.

I have two folders on two different drives aliased. One of them
contains the Vienna Symphonic Library and the other has a lot of
samples, so that would also explain this, but I can't help wondering
if the aliases compound the issue.

I found out about having to resolve blablabla on the VSL forum! Thank
goodness for user support, as in support from other users (although
the VSL people are excellent about the first as well).
