And while I totally agree on this, there's still no reason for N.I.s file
browsers to be THAT lousy (come on, Battery doesn't even have a resizeable
"open" dialog, which is an OS standard, at least on Windows, a requirement
in case you're browsing large sample directories) and the EXS editor an file
management to be even lousier (why in the world do I have to save EACH
instrument in case I only want to use it in ONE single song, such as a vocal
track that I'd like quickly slap onto some EXS keys? The EXS is the ONLY
softsampler requiring such a nonsense).
IMHO this is simply ignorant behaviour. The EXS editor has been something
that people were complaing about since the day it appeared, yet it has seen
close to no improvements, not even with Logic 6. Pretty much a
dissapointment, if you ask me. Still the easiest to handle general UI, still
the lousiest editor.
