Colin, Thanks for the reply. I am more than sure its crashing because I can't even force quit Logic when it happens. The mouse remains active but I can't click it. I'll try subdividing the folders, as that may be the cure. But I can't understand why it'll successfully scan a folder with 1100 subfolders but crash every single time I try to scan a folder with 600 subfolders. Perplexing, to say the least.
