Subject: [EXS] Best version of Garritan Lite Strings?

Hi, Just wondering which is the best version out of the Akai or
Giga, of Garritan Strings Lite, to use with the EXS24 Mk2? Can
the OSX version now import Akai CDROM's?
  Cheers

Not sure about this, but I believe Akai file sizes have to be a lot smaller due to memory restrictions. I have an S3000 that can only hold 32 meg. I'm sure the newer ones hold a fair bit more, but nothing like a Mac or PC internal memory or Hard Disk streaming. With Giga, you're sure to get the full length of the notes even though the files will be quite large. My experience is that the EXS converts Giga files just fine. I'd go with Giga.
