Hi. I'm new to the exs24.
Is there a way to set it up like a drum machine an have a short HiHat note
cut off the previous long HiHat?

Check out some great Domain Names at:

You can try shaping the Hats at envelope section down far right of the
sampler window if that's what you meant by "Short HiHat note". Beware this
would affect the other sounds loaded on the same preset too.
Or
Assigning a LFO to the "SUSTAIN" or "DECAY" of the envelope would add some
dimension to the Hats as well.

Assign both zones (short & long hihat) to one group, and set the
group's polyphony to "1 voice".

Hi all,
I am trying to install the factory sounds cd I got
when I bought the EXS24 onto a G4 running OS9.2 but am
running into a problem.
When I call up Logic v4.7 and try to select a sound to
be loaded into the EXS24, I get error messages that
the .wav or .aif files cannot be found. Now I copied
the sample instruments and samples into subfolders
located within the Sample Instruments folder located
within the Logic folder so that shouldn't be a
problem. But I also tried taking the sounds for one
group of sample instruments and moved them into the
samples folder also within the Logic folder with the
same results.
What am I doing wrong? This same factory sounds cd
installs and plays perfectly on my pc running LAP
v5.5.1. Could it be that OS9.2 does not support long
filenames?
Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
thanks,
Arthur
