midi latency

midi latency

2003-10-14 by funktronik2000

hello friends,
I am experiencing midi latency. Heres the deal. In the
environment I cabled from a physical input to a toggle macro so I
can turn loops on and off. The macro is outputted to the exs24.
Its actually cool cause I also routed from the macro input directly
into another exs for single shot samples. It actually works thank
God cause I have been trying to figure this out forever. The
problem is there is midi latency.... enough to make it impossible
to play to a click. Any suggestions my brilliant collegues?
Thanks... Justin

It sounds like your using 2 EXS's in parallel in a live setting,
correct? That will indeed give horrid latency, unles you use the
I/O-plugin trick, as described in FAQ 20.2.

.........Ahhhh! Thank you for stimulating my brain into double
checking my work. I forgot to insert the I/Os into the AIs. You are a
bit of all right my friend. Thank you for your support. I think you
earned ten percent and backstage passes! Peace... Justin
