If it's a drum loop or rhythmic sample you could use recycle, which 
would allow you to play through loop step by step in ESX. 
Unfortunately, ESX doesn't do any fancy real-time stretching (yet - he 
says hopefully). Other samplers - Roland VP9000, Kontact, Sampletank - 
allow you to control the pitch and speed of a sample dynamically.
A granular mode would be awesome in ESX.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
