I have checked out the Wizoo piano. For testing, I used a midi file that
was made here by a very talented and multi-multi-timbral piano player.
I used the 1 GB size piano, set the Exs24 to 64 voices and let it rip. The
1.33 ghz laptop choked up when it got to around 48 voices. (Understandable,
really.) I did an offline bounce, and with minimal processing it really
sounds incredible. The samples are clean and consistent.
Quite a nice bargain.
I am looking for Exs24 native instruments because I am not interested in
tinkering with conversions if I can avoid it. The same engineer that
recorded the piano worked on the Exs24 definitions. Better they do the
work.
Now, if I could find some reasonably priced orchestral sounds...
