Chickensys or CDExtract?

Chickensys or CDExtract?

2003-11-26 by John Rhone

I wanna convert my sample library to EXS24 format. I was using an
MPC3000 and an EMU ESI4000. CDextract says it will work with both
formats and here is the key, the sounds are on 5 1/4" Syquest carts and
Zip 250 carts. Again CDextract says it will read the syquest and zip
disks, but all my info on chickensys just says CD-ROMS....Anyone ever do
this? Will it be a simple no nonsense conversion?

EMU ESI and MPC are supported by all version of CDXtract (Win, Mac Classic
and OSX)
Moreover CDXtract can read partitioned MPC disks and let you read and
convert all
your MPC partitions, not just the first one !

Try the demo :-)

Translator supports any peripheral and communication protocol on any
operating system.

CD-ROM, CD-R, any removable or fixed hard drive, MO Drive, USB, Firewire, SCSI
Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2K/XP
Mac OS 8.6, 9.x, 10.1, 10.2, 10.3

(The only exception is pre-OSX with SCSI, the workaround is to use Toast to
create an image (what we exclusively call Virtual Drives), and Translator
can easily work off of that.

We support E3/ESi as a source, and also MPC. On the Mac, not MPC yet,
that's slated for inclusion next week; it just got in the PC version.
