Hi! I just bought the platinum24 Grand, the Percussion and Mixtended drums from Wizoo (the cool bundle for exs users) and wanted to ask for any more "must have" stuff for the building of a library. I got lots of free stuff, the akai stuff from the japanese Server, the three emagic sample Cds, but what else can you recommend (apart from The Vienna stuff, which is not affordable for me at the moment)? Thanks for any Tips! regards, Frank Valet

People are raving about this, great sounds for amazingly low price. I have not received mine yet, but they say they are now shipping it. The example pieces on their web site sound incredible. Note: apparently the samples are unfortunately not EXS compatible, it runs with the supplied Audio Units plug in sampler (Kontact).

I'm also looking for a self-contained orchestral library in that price range. I'm considering either the GPO or the Quantum Leap/East West Symphonic Orhestra. The latter has a silver edition that's $295 (http://www.soundsonline.com/sophtml/details.phtml?sku=EW-161). I'm trying to compare the demos - both the GPO and the QLSO have a Beethoven 5th demo, but it's so hard to tell since you never know how much extra processing was used to sweeten the sounds. The QLSO silver edition comes wrapped in the Kompakt engine, which I don't think is OS X - compatible yet, but it should be soon. There's a cool site all about the 'new generation of samplers;' it's a joint effort between EastWest/NI/Zero-G to make self-contained libraries in dedicated Kompakt and Intakt samplers: http://www.new-sampling-generation.com/sampling_microsite/index.php?id=home I know it's a bit early to tell, but does anyone have any opinions on the GPO vs. the QSLO?
