Reverb with EXS instruments

2003-12-07 by Gareth Hemmings

Dear learned EXS24 users,

Now I¹ve been fiddling with Logic plat and EXS24mkII for a few months I am
getting to grips with it. However, I¹ve never been satisfied with the
reverb on the instruments. What do you people use? I¹ve been looking at
external reverb units but can¹t afford £0000s (realistically could spend
£100-£150)? I would be more interested in the external units so I could use
it with protools aswell.

Thank you in advance!

Gareth Hemmings

Best bang for the buck: Ambience. It's donationware.

Ageed... it's fantastic, though there is a tiny bug I found, where if you u=
se
really long reverbs the very end of the decay suddenly cuts off under certa=
in
conditions. I told magnus about it and he said he'd fix it, but that was se=
veral
months ago ;-) Anyway, not a problem for most uses... it sounds great and
the price is right...

Any body have a problem not getting the graphics for the AMBIENCE plugin?
I only get the controls without the pretty interface. Must you make a donation for this?
Thanks

Pete

In OS X Mac, Ambience doesn't have its own graphic interface. It has
nothing to do with the donation. On the other hand, if you like the
_sound_ of it, then by all means, please do send some money to the
programmer. I did.
