EXS 24 Logic Sampler Users Group

On the Roland series samplers there was a feature, where the save function
could be set, to only save the samples that were used in the project.
Wouldn't that be cool to have in the EXS?

Hummm,
I really think it's not a good function !! u create 5 differents snares but
at the end only 2 Are used... but who knows !! maybe one day u can need them
! i own a Roland and i NEVER use that function...

Then you can load them from the original patch again...

My suggestion was meant to save backup time on projects and,
Like say you have 1gig of orchetral samples loaded for a project
and you need to squeeze more sounds in, but do not wan't to spend
time going thru every track to see if samples are used or not, etc...

yes, i see ;o) but i've lost so many Programs with that function ! ;o(
it's an interesting function when u have 500 Mo HD like 10 years ago, but
now with 80 Go ! u can save all....

OK, in my perspective, I like to load up huge files of standard soundsets
for different projects.
Like f. eks 60 loops etc. Later I may only be working with 4 or 5 of those
loops, and I would like
to load another set of loops, and I need to clear the space for them fast...
How about a function
key named "backup all USED samples in all ACTIVE instruments of current
song"

That's ROCK ;o))) a lot !!!
but u can already do a "copy" and "Paste" off Loops u are using in the
current song...
just write on a paper what u are using ;o)) but if it's automatic ;o))))
