Hello group I remember a post any where up to a year ago about how to construct a tremelo effect for the strings in the environment. It was a great tip but I lost the post before putting it into practise. Could someone let me know how to set it up if you have the time? cheers jamie

I will keep trying thanks again for any info jamie

Hi Jamie, julie here....don't really remember what you might be talking about. Do you have any other detail that might spark my memory? julie On Saturday, December 20, 2003, at 07:10 AM, bitesound2001 wrote: > --- In exs-users@yahoogroups.com, "bitesound2001" <bitesound@h...> > wrote: > > Hello group > > > > I remember a post any where up to a year ago about how to construct > a tremelo > > effect for the strings in the environment. Jamie, You might try using a better spelling of "tremolo" in your search. I'm not criticizing you (spelling is not usually such a big deal) but it might help you find what you're looking for. Don

I think you and a few others were discussing a new library that had specifi= c sampled violin tremolo if I remember correctly and this tecnique came up, I shure y= ou know what I mean, when the violist wiggles his/her hand, it is not exactly a str= oke and it can add tension if that is what you need, I'm working on a three part Docum= entry on world war two here in rome and tension is needed. hope that is enough info, thankyou very much for taking the time Jamie

I bet we were talking about the Garritan string orchestra. I think there are some programs in that library that allow you to change the amount/intensity of the tremolo by xfading between samples via the modulation wheel? Sound familiar. I don't think it had anything to do with the environment though...could be wrong. Maybe it was related to the environment in that there's apparently a Garritan utility which enables things like automatically alternating bow strokes, etc. and someone did an equivalent of that utility for Logic's environment...?

Hi Julie and Bill, I think I have started a wild goose chase, I'm shure there was a way to conjure tremolo with the environment but at this point please don't let this post get in the way of you two making good music. thanks for the knowledge and have a merry christmas... jamie
