Hi,

I'm a faithful EXS 24 but lately I've checked a few instruments that blew me
away.

Trilogy by spetrasonics is fantastic. But just today I loaded Plugsounds hip
hop, and this is a really great vsti instrument. The future is pretty clear,
the next generation of vsti will have 0.5 to X gig amount of sound files to
load and the sounds exceed anything in hardware form.

Its really a treat to play an instrument like Plugsounds hip hop, much easier
to audition sounds than any sampler, and loads almost as fast a changing a
patch on a hardware module.

The EXS 24 will always have a place in my studio, to play the large Kurzweil,
akai, Roland library I've collected over the years, but check out the new
vsti's with at least 500 megs of data files and you might be impressed like me :-)

I also don't work for any plugin companys, and sorry for sounding like an ad.

Cheers,

Eric M.

Have you read any of the info about the new Stylus RMX from
Spectrasonics? Apparently NAMM was buzzing over it, with everyone
wanting copies NOW. (Only for release in Sept)

You will be able to load and use all the current Groove Control CD's
which is a big bonus for those of us who have these. Also, many new
and remarkable features.....

Check out the spectrasonics website.

Regards - Colin
