Some of the most powerful people in the world highly recommend asking for help when you're unsure about something, it's not a sign of weakness at all, I assure you :-) I just did a quick search on Google for "DFD EXS".. looks like DFD = Direct From Disk, a form of streaming sample-based instruments use.
