Hollowsun continued, various Roland

Hollowsun continued, various Roland

Business as usual: "basic" labelled patches got no UI settings, patches
indexed with "01" or so at the end are tweaked a bit, by default the filter
is off on most of them, just make sure to try with filter on as well and
fool around with the ModWheel. Some patches work best with a tempo stereo
delay on them (at medium tempi I like a quarter note on one side, a dotted
8th on the other).
Samples are those from the "Roland Synths" section.

Thanks Michael for hosting the files including the sample links.

Btw, I made no typo when I wrote "Sascha" and "Franck" as my name... it's
indeed SaSCHa and FranCk ;o)

Regards,
Sascha

[OT] setting default app for wav files

2004-06-06 by Brio Taliaferro

Hi,

Sorry to ask this non-EXS question, but I don't seem to be able to find a
way of changing the default application for wav and mp3 files - they always
open in iTunes and I would prefer quicktimeplayer. Can someone please point
me in the right direction?

Thanks for all the hollowsun stuff btw, guys.

Brio

Hi Brio,
do a get info on one of your files, the third item down the list should
be Open With:, expand that, select QTP from the menu and click change
all!

[EXS] Hollowsun continued, more stuff

2004-06-07 by Hendrik Jan Veenstra

Before Sascha has to do all the conversions... here are some I did
this afternoon:

Arp Odyssey Basses
Arp Odyssey Pads
Chamberlin strings (the instrument from which the Mellotron got its concept)
Fairlight IIcx
Fairlight II Drums
Fairlight LoStrings
Fender Rhodes
Moog Taurus

They're all at http://www.omega-art.com/logic/index.html#laexs.

Michael, you're of course welcome to include them on your page as
well, if you want to maintain a complete collection.

Oh... bummer. Sorry about that. Maybe we should coordinate our
efforts a bit to avoid duplication?

And:

I don't have that much time either (soem of us _do_ have jobs, you
know :) but I'll see what I can do.

>A good time to all of you,

Ditto to you. Sun and sea for two weeks -- life's a bitch at times,
isn't it? :-)
