question: I'm looking for a finger-snap sample

question: I'm looking for a finger-snap sample

2004-08-20 by mmrudi

Hello,

I'm new to this forum. I'm looking for a sample of a finger snap. Do I have to
buy a huge DVD full of percussion samples for this or are there other ways of
getting thsi sound into the EXS... ?
TIA

Martin

Not meaning to state the obvious but Why don't you just record your own
fingersnap???

Yes.

1. Room + microphone + your left or right hand

2. One of these online sources. Don't know for finger noises but you
never know.

Good luck,

Why not just sample them yourself? It would probably be quicker than trying
to find someone else's.

I'd recommend taking out a $10,000 loan and buying the Vienna
Symphonic Library, East West Quantum Leap Symphony Orchestra,
Garritan Orchestral Strings, and Sonic Implants Strings to see
whether they have one.

Sorry, couldn't resist it. :)

Martin, finger snaps are really easy to record. Just get out a mic!
