EXS 24 Logic Sampler Users Group

Every instrument in the factory library has a regular
version, and a seemingly identical one followed by the
term "ECO". I know it's a dumb questions but I can't
find this term anywhere in the manual. What does it
mean? Thanks, JP

Hi JP,

I believe it's an abbreviation "economical". They are lower memory 
versions of the regular instruments. They load in less multi-samples 
and stretch the mappings of each sample a bit to compensate. In this 
day and age of inexpensive RAM, hard drives, and disc streaming though, 
it's hard to imagine using the full versions of the EXS library 
instruments ever being an issue. ...... But YMMV.
