You may want to check out the capabilities of CDXtract. I believe that
there is a Mac version available and I think that it can convert parameters
as well. If you own a PC, another one is Translator. They are working on a
Mac version (for a long time now but nothing's been released yet). Transfer
station is good only if you want to convert sample files. It does not
convert programming parameters. Both CDXtract and Translator support
conversions to EXS-24 format I believe while Transferstation does not (last
I checked). You would need to convert to Akai format, burn it to a CD and
then convert using the Akai converter in EXS-24.

Transferstation is useful only on the lowest level of samples as
Fernando said. Until a better Mac solution arrives, it's okay for
very simple patches of samples, as you have to map everything
yourself.

I wish there was a Mac version - it's been dreamware for a long time. :-(
You could run virtualPC and use CDXtract or Translator, but is it
worth the $$ ?

Maybe all Mac users should go to the relevant websites and shout for
the Mac versions.

PS - I really wish Emagic would simply add EXS24 support for a few
more formats, especially Roland S760. There must must be 1000's of
Roland CD's out there, begging to be used.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
