Sculpture. Here's are a couple of my demos of the amazing sounds this
thing can make:

http://nedfx.com/TemporaryAudio/Marble.mp3

http://nedfx.com/TemporaryAudio/Metallique.mp3 (every sound is
Sculpture except the drum loop)

I love this thing! But you have to love to tweak... ;-)

Is 'Sculpture' supposed to be a string module? I don't recognized
these demos as sounding much like strings...

That was by choice. You can hear some string examples by using the
Player on the middle left hand side of this web page:

Its a Garage Band instrument simply called "strings."

No - the EFM1 is more like a string module.

Garage Band. Strings. Dedicated string module with just real good sampled
strings.

Sculpture is not a "string" module like an orchestral string section.
It is a physical modelling synth that simulates a vibrating string
(and many "string-like" things). It can do many mind-blowing things,
but simulating a bunch of classically-trained violinists playing
in unison is probably not one of them...

Garage Band instruments/Strings.

Which, as far as I can tell, is just the EXS playing the String
Ensemble sample. You get an EXS icon in the track and you see that
sample in the EXS now, in addition to the traditional EXS Strings 1 and
EXS Strings 2.
