While I haven't tried this yet, I have to say this is an awesome
feature! Translator just keeps getting better and better.
Oh I have to thank you once again Garth and let other users of
Translator know as well about a feature I requested awhile back for
easier organization of .exs programs when translating. You can add a
prefix or a suffix to your .exs programs automatically when converting.
For example, if you have the Wizoo Platinum 24 drums in Akai format,
you can have all of the .exs programs automatically be preceeded by WIZ
or with WIZ appended to the end of the name. If I recall correctly,
you can have 5 or 6 characters in total for each (prefix and/or
suffix).
Some people may be thinking "big deal". I found out (and I know some
people have encountered this as well) if you have 2 different exs
programs named exactly the same (ie Rock Kit.exs), when you reload your
Logic song, Logic will load up only the first one it finds which may
not be the same. By adding a prefix or suffix, you can make it unique
and will always work. By using the same prefix/suffix for each of your
libraries, you don't have to go through and rename a bunch of your
programs or look for duplicates. I come up with an abbreviated name
for everything that I can use as a prefix. This way, I can have WIZ
Rock Kit.exs, YT Rock Kit.exs, and DFH Rock Kit.exs and always load up
the correct one.
I have found it useful and thought that it might help other people here
who also use Translator.
