editing actual (individual) samples files...

2005-02-15 by tony vincent

even after reading the manual, i can't seem to open an individual audio
sample w/in the exs sampler plug in. i want to edit the tail-end of a sample
and can't get how to see it visually to do so. i can of course look at all
audio files that are used w/in a project (sequence), but i can't click on
anything that takes me to the sample i want to edit w/in the individual exs
instrument. help...?

Can you be more specific about what you want to do (edit wise) with the
sample ?

Editing sample is not EXS forte. If you click once on the sample name
(instrument editor page you get from pressing edit on the main exs page), it
will open a new page , showing you where the sample is located and letting
you audition and replace the sample.

I personnaly prefer to tweak first and then load inside EXS; much more
effective and lot less time consuming. Then again, I de love to be proven
wrong on that one.

By the way, thank you for considering my manual reading critiscism the right
way.

Open the EXS editor, load the appropriate instrument, then click on the "E" button on the zone you wish to edit. This will open the
sample in Logics Sample Editor.
Just make sure no other instruments are using the same samples as those edits will be destructive.
