[exs]Which Drum sample CD's ?

[exs]Which Drum sample CD's ?

2001-07-03 by Paul Low

Hello people ...

I am about to start my collection of sampling discs and I am finding the
task fairly daunting.
Also ...living out in the sticks I cannot listen to every disc on the market
at a gigantic outlet, in fact the nearest one is some 2000+ km from here..

So this is my dilema ... which drum loop cds to get ...?
I want to be able to produce tracks without using a live drummer, if that's
possible, in the pop/hip hop/rock style mix.

So far titles like Skippy's big bad beats look good to me, as do Burning
Grooves and Liquid Grooves (Although it seems a little light on loops) ....

Do you guys have any good advice on good sounding discs that provide good
value for money...?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

Paul

On this page, there are links to tons of free samples. Until you are able to
get to some CDs, this may help keep you occupied. I have built many EXS
instruments from the samples from these various sites. Please suggest any
other sites worth mentioning that are not contained on this page already.
