Subject: [exs] MOTU 828 crash with EXS
Hello,
we recently played Roskilde rock festival using a Motu 828 Firewire
interface , Logic Audio 4.7 running live EXS kits for our MIDI
drummer to play on a Titanium G4...... It works fine , no latency but
sometimes for no clear reason , the sound engine just seems to crash
... we have to turn the interface off and on and things come back -
simple enough reset , but absolute nightmare when your playing in
front of 1500 people...... Is there any explanation for this? - what
can we do to stop it happening in the first place? - Is it an over
heating issue?
PS. Its *not* a MIDI crash....

Hi chistian,
What was the config exactly ?
It was on Batteries ?
USB stuffs ?

It could be the UME 'universal midi engine' , if you don't need it's
features, try running with it off.
