The EXS will search for the required samples automatically and then write the new locations into the EXS patch file.
It'll either search on all available drives or on one drive letter that you can specify in the EXS preferences.
As the search process, depending on the size (and probably folder structure) of existing drives, might take quite a while, you might
consider getting Redmaticas EXS Manager, which will reassign all "lost" (or yet "unassigned") sample locations way faster and in one
go.
