Sampler Loops that are in time

Sampler Loops that are in time

Hey all - Joe here, got a question. Is there a way to load loops into the
EXS24 sampler that can be triggered from the keyboard but they will adjust
automatically to a song's tempo? I've converted a lot of loops into Apple
Loops format and that's great but I'd like to have a lot of loops under my
fingertips so I can check them against an open song, at that tempo. Is this
a REX2 issue?

Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

thanks,

joe

I too would like to know if you can use the EXS the way that Sampletank works...... allowing you to change pitch and time independently///???

No, that's a SampleTank exclusive feature, called STRETCH. EXS works
like all other samplers do, just playing back a samples and faster or
slower rates.

The STRETCH feature in SampleTank takes a sample and can raise the
pitch using formant conversion, so the sample changes pitch without
changing length and also removes the munchkinization. The tradeoff is
in latency and sound quality, but in most cases it's pretty good.

Hey,
Just looking through the forum and a little note which may be
appreciated by some. I'm not sure if it works with the EXS24 or
Sampletank, but I know of a really good time/pitch tool which I must
say works much superior to logic's (that's what I find at least). It
is a plugin by Serrato called Pitch n' Time. Very excellent at
slowing down a wave form without changing pitch or changing pitch
without change of tempo etc. I have not noticed any degredation of
sound quality and it is solid as a rock. Go check it!
