Hi there Andy, have you tried opening the editor for the ex24 instrument, then going to the particular group that the sample is in. This is where the information is stored about root note and sample range. Where it says "one hit" if you untick this box the sample should stop when the key is released. I hope this helps.

uncheck the "one shot" boxes in the zone parameters ;-)
