Possibly, this question was made in the past, but I can't find it.
Excuse me if this is the case...

My first question is: What kind of file is a .akp?
My second (and last) is: Can EXS24 read this .akp's?

I just find a possible theremin source, but is in .akp, and I would like to
know if this file is a valid EXS24 file.
If not, know you something about play a theremin with the Logic's sampler?

Thank you in advance,
alexander

1) It's the native format for the S-5000 Akai sampler.

2) No it can't. You need to use a thrid party convertor such as
Translator www.chickensys.com or CDXtract www.cdxtract.com to convert
the .akp into a .exs file. Or you can just rebuild it yourself from
the .wav files (which will accompany the .akp).

I think its an Akai program file (been a few years since i used one!) does this akp come
with wavs? If so you need a program like CDXtract on Chickensys Translator to convert it
to exs format. EXS can import akai format cds (allegedly, haven't tried it for a bit and i
remember some issues that may have been sorted) but not Akai program files on a normal
CD or HD.

Hope this helps, Mike

Thank you, so much for this valuable information!
