If you want to run ProTools as well, it's a good deal. If you only want to use Logic or other non ProTools software, you might try the m-audio Fast Track Pro for about $200. It's bus powered and works pretty reliably. One question though, will you be mic'ing to record a lot? The preamps in the m-audio fast track pro are okay (actually just as good as anything in that price range IMHO). Also, how many tracks do you need to record at one time? You might also get more replies at the main Logic user group.
