exs24 for logic 7?

exs24 for logic 7?

2009-02-24 by xpukex

Message posted by xpukex <parc.evil@...>:

hi there!
i have used logic platinum for a long time on os9 and then took a break from
producing.
now i run osx10.4.11 and have installed logic pro 7.0.0 which i learn is
logic express and not pro - is that right?

to my actual question:
i am very much depending on using the exs24 or is it called exs24 MKII now?
so now my question is where i can get it from because everything looks like
i need to buy logic studio 8?
or just logic 8 and then i still don't have exs24

or is it possible to just buy logic studio instruments 8 and they are
backwards compatible?

or is there any where at all i can find the exs on its own??

.. as you see.. a very desperate user would very much apreciate answers.
thanks for you time.

Dear Logic User,

Your Exs24 can only be displayed on an existing Logic Pro version.
If you own an express version, it comes with a exs24 player, so you
won't be able edit, etc.

Just upgrade to Logic 8. It'll see all your old Sample Instruments and EXS data. The price
has come down, and 8 is pretty amazing - with many cool extras!

Logic Pro 7 = Full EXS24 Mk II
Logic Express 7 = EXSP24 Mk II player only
Logic Studio 8 AND Logic Express 8 = Full EXS24 Mk II
The EXSP24 is not available separately (any more) and can only be used within Logic.
If you want the full EXS24 sampler for the cheapest outlay then Logic Express 8 is the way
to go.
Hope this helps.

You have either Logic Pro or Logic Express - they were 2 different apps.

Apple only sells Logic Studio now which includes Logic Pro 8 plus
everything else. If you have Logic 7, you can can buy an upgrade
which is obviously much cheaper for you. You'll get EXS24 plus a huge
library of instruments and much more. If you can afford it, you
should definitely upgrade to Logic Studio ( including Logic Pro 8).
It is huge value for money.

EXS24 is not available on its own. Long long long ago (around v3 or
v4 or v5) it was a separate purchase - not any more.
