Hi Is there a bug with EXS24 and the automation? When I try to record some filter movements it won`t play back at all. (It gets recorded) cheers Terje Lamg 4.7.3/EXS24/G4 400/AMT8/EMI 2I6

hi, you use the emi2|6 with a mac, right? can i ask you how it behavies? does it have much latency monitoring? and when playing live exs24 instruments from a midi kb? quality of the a/d/a converters? noise, etc...? i've just bought a new icebook and am looking for an audio interface. the emi could be that one, if only if works properly... btw, dont know about your exs24 automation bug. greetings, thx quiq. -----Mensaje original----- De: terjeeithun@... (It gets >recorded) If you have any plugins inserted in the Audio Instrument object holding the instance of the EXS you are inending to automate, they will grab controllers which you are targetting to the EXS24. The workaround is to route the output of the EXS to a bus and insert your plugs there. This is not entirely satisfactory as you cannot put sends on a bus so you can't (for example) send to a global reverb on Bus 1 . Regards, Murray

Hi The EMI has been very good for me. The latency is very low. I don`t think about it, and that`s on the "normal" setting. (There is a "fast" setting, but it requires a faster CPU, if you`re running many tracks) The sound quality is of course excellent. (but I`m not a "sound nerd") cheers -Terje-

thanx for your input Terje. nice to hear the emi2|6 works so well, i thought it would never have mac drivers -it was presented in january- but now emagic announces OSX drivers for it in september too (along with those for mt4 and OSX versions of logic and exs24. Just hope that happens). Well i think i'll be going for the emi2|6 to join my new icebook (received it yesterday.. it got me awake til dawn ;-) anyway, you say you have to put it on "normal setting" because you just have a *slow* G4@400. Does that mean audio/exs24 latency is noticiable but not under "fast"?(the icebook has a *slower* G3@500 so i may be in trouble here) Another question, do you experience any usb problems or hiccups -in a word, does pro/semi-pro audio through USB REALLY work? thanx, greetings from Mallorca. quiq. --- In exs-users@y..., "quiq" <quiq@g...> wrote: > hi, you use the emi2|6 with a mac, right? > can i ask you how it behavies? > does it have much latency monitoring? and when playing live exs24 > instruments from a midi kb? > quality of the a/d/a converters? noise, etc...?
