How to convert EXS24 patches to SoundFont?

How to convert EXS24 patches to SoundFont?

2001-10-06 by dbenus@tao.agoron.com

Is there a way to convert EXS24 patches to SoundFont (.sf2) without
having to redo the whole EXS patch from scratch? I see that the two
major conversion programs convert from other formats to EXS, but not
the other way around.

We are using Sonar in addition to LAWP now, and I would like to be
able to have all the work I did setting up EXS24 patches available to
use in Sonar/LiveSynthPro.

Any ideas, solutions?

Thanks,

David Benus

Simply move the .sf2 files to the Sampler Instrument folder under Logic and
the conversion is automatic. You'll see the instrument show up in your list
when you open EXS...

It surprised me how effortless this was.

You got it backwards bro. He's trying to go from EXS to Soundfont, not the
other way around.

Do I get credit for meaning well?

Yes, but in order to get your A+, you have to give the right answer.
Would you have it? ;-)

Thanks,

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
