Converting Akai to EXS without cd-rom

I've downloaded a few sample sets from the Internet in S3000 format. The files are on my harddrive. Is it possible to convert them to an EXS sampler instrument? The downloaded zip-file for the S3000 contains a few .wav/.aif files and a S3000 defention file. The AKAI conversion tool of the EXS is 'waiting for a cd-rom'. Is it possible to convert from harddrive? Maarten
