EXS 24 Logic Sampler Users Group

Is it just me or did loop stop working with EXS with LAMP 4.8...?

In arrange if I have a drum loop on the EXS and I check  the 
"loop" box I get nothing after the first real bar.  Virtual loop bars 
play back silent.  Is this not supposed to work?

You need to check the box for the newer MIDI engine in the MIDI settings.
This was a problem when the EXS first came out. They solved in later build
of Logic, but you must have the new MIDI engine checked for it to work. -Jer

As far as I understand,it is a small bug which is to do with whether you
have "use unified and classic midi engine" ticked in your communication
preferences. With it ticked I think that there is a loop problem for the
EXS, but I could be mistaken.

Anybody else?

I'm still on 4.7 but i just noticed today, only for some banks if they
are in legato or mono mode. and i loop the sequence the real loop plays
then two loops then nothing?, funny. yes my new midi engine box is
ticked

Weird. I would update to 4.8. That might squash the bug.

I've done a couple of songs in the past few days using LAWP 4.8.1 with the
exs-24 and loops worked fine.  I had no problems with it whatsoever.  It is
quite a joy to use the exs-24 and not need to power on my samplers - so
quick and no CD Roms to fumble with (except every few weeks for
authorization).  I'm using the new UME though.  Don't know if that makes a
difference as it did in the previous version.  Please explain.

Same here, no problems with looping.

UME is required to make loops with virtual instruments working at all.
