This is a complicate topic !
I would like to give my point of view .

When someone decided to create a samples CD, he absolutely knows that the CD
can be copied ( of course, or he is from a planet called QWERTY !)...
If I bought a CD I can do what I want with... give it to someone, make a
present, put it in the trash or whatever...

That's the risk of every companies who create that sort of CD's.... no ?

When I bought a pen from "BIC \ufffd" , they probably know that I can write a
book and sold it at 1 million copy ... no?

In the other way, I respect a lot all the job of those companies which bring
us usefull tool, that's why, if u'r a professionnal, u have to buy the
original CD if u use it in a Pro Job.

My point of view.

Igor

What if your not professional and not using it on a pro job, but only using
it
for your own personal non professional projects? And based on the cost to
profit ratio you wouldn't normally buy these CDs. Of course it is still
illegal, but is the crime then as "bad"?

If u'r not professionnal, I mean u don't earn money with u'r music, u can do
what u want !
I don't know any report of any TRIAL against any kind of user.

Did those companies invest in research to find a solution to not be able to
copy Cd ? ...no...

it's not a Money problem, even 1 $ ... when u win money u can buy those Cd,
if it's an hobby u can do what u want...

Did you ever work in these companies? I don't think that you have
otherwise, you wouldn't speak the way you do. Don't make statements about
what you know nothing about.

It is not just simply copying a CD. People can load samples into their
samplers, save them on hard drives and build CD's from that quite easily.
Copying the CD's just presents a (very) small hurdle. Where there's a will,
there is a way.

I'm sure that when you write a number hit that *could* generate millions,
you won't mind that only one person (who is a professional) buys your CD,
then trades it and gives away copies to everyone else in the world since the
rest of the people are only hobbyists - ie they don't make money from
listening to your music so it is just a hobby to them.

Do you see how absurd this reason is? No matter how you put it - you are
justifying theft. That's like saying you can go into a car dealership and,
because your hobby is collecting cars, it is okay to simply take one of the
new Mercedes on the lot since you only do it as a hobby and don't make money
off of it. Okay this is a little far-fetched, but it is similar. If you
thought for a minute - that if everyone who uses samples bought them, maybe
we could get many titles for very little money. As it is, in order to be
profitable or at least break even, the manufacturers have to keep the price
up.

If you do it as a hobby and cannot afford the great sample CD, then simply
don't spend the money. Get creative and make your own samples.

No , it's true but I don't take a lot of risk to say that !

Not at all, when someone is listenning to my music in a Bar or on TV or in
Discoteca ! someone win money !

No , it's not the same... People who Trade CD's don't stole them, they ask
before !
If I ask someone to lend me his Mercedes, he can say no !!

If you ask someone to lend you his driver¹s license, he could say yes. But
that would be illegal wouldn¹t it? Same thing with the samples.
