LAMP: EXS Automation from plugin window

LAMP: EXS Automation from plugin window

2002-01-02 by AM

hi everybody,

while I can automate the EXS from the Arrange window (create a sequence and
draw controllers etc. ) I can't get the knobs to create any midi data. When
I record enable an audio instrument that holds an EXS and move sliders or
knobs, nothing happens in the arrange window. What am i doing wrong here?

I was searching a little in the group messages but couldn't find more about
this. Except that everbody else seems to be able to do that. That's
frustrating ;-)

Thanks for your help!

Drum kit editing woes...

2002-01-02 by HELP@MusicBootCamp.com

Am I the only one who experiences this: When I edit a drum kit (say if I'm
compiled a kit from downloaded samples from the internet), when I trim a
sample, it no longer triggers unless I open another instrument and then
change it back again. To make matters worse, if I have the same kit on
multiple instrument tracks (instances), I have to change everyone of them
before changing them back to hear the sample trigger (or close and reopen
Logic). Since I do A LOT of sound editing as I compose, this leaves me
seething with frustration. Any similar experiences?

You are not alone..

I edited a snare about 5 minutes ago and then had to close the instrument
completely and re open it before being able to hear the changes.

Bug fix please!!!!!!

I do not think I have that problem or maybe I do not understand. When
I trim a sample or a loop I doubleclick on the "E" in the instrument
editor and the sample editor window opens. If I change the sample
start/end I can hear my changes immediately. If I change a loop I
have to close the sample editor window to hear the change.

Is this information useful? I am at work right now so I cannot
confirm og experiment. BTW, I am on a Windows 98SE PC.

Kind regards,

No. What you are describing works for me too. But when you TRIM the sample
(reset the start and stop points and DELETE the unused portion), then the
sample will not trigger as I described before. Editing the start and stop
points alone does not cause this problem.
