Subject: [exs] where best to store samples

I am about to get a titanium G4 and a large external firewire for tracking.
I am also wanting to store my sample libraries and exs folders on the
firewire drive. Will the performance (maybe in terms of latency) of the exs
suffer because the samples are on the firewire, or is it better for them to
be on the internal drive (hopefully not!)
Thanks,

All the EXS24 samples are loaded in the RAM of the computer....
your samples can be anywhere on any external HD, it's the same :o)

Hi ..

I am only using a Titanium G4, and have all my samples stored on an external
FIREWIRE..

NO PROBLEMS AT ALL!!! (might even be the best solution as a firewire disk is
a lot faster!)

So don't Worry...

Best

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
