Akai FTP Permissions changed?

Akai FTP Permissions changed?

2002-02-15 by John Russell

Can someone else check this?

I am unable to get into the download area for the Akai sample library
today with an error regarding the permissions being thrown up each
time I attempt to connect.

I was halfway through the Splendid Piano last night when this occurred.

If this is so, then it would seem to cast some doubt on the copyright
of the library. Maybe it was never meant for public consumption!

Regards,

John

Right you are. My plan to translate these files has been obliterated. The
weirdest part is that the files I spent days downloading were also absent
when I woke up this morning. A tragic end. I'm very disappointed. I can't
begin to explain why the files are gone from my hard drive. I saw the
continuing download with my own eyes last night. Makes no sense.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
