Guys, this is NOT supposed to work with any version prior to LA5. Maybe (or
apparently) by "accident" it works for the Mac folks, but if it doesn't work
on Windows I wouldn't bother trying any longer. As said, with my version of
5.0 the DLL just sits in the Logic directory, happily working. Having said
that, I can't see the slightest chance to make it work differently with any
4.x version - apart from maybe hacking around with some code, defenitely not
what I'd recommend.

Sascha

As far as I understand the reason why it´s on the web site is because
people with 4.8 can have this to. Isnt it included in Logic5? If so
why would they bather uploading it to their site if it only was
working with 5.

well, anyway it hasnt caused any harm on my system. The feeling/hunch
I have for now is that I can load more exs instances :-)

Yes you are right -- I just loaded three huge EXS instruments I have -- the
256 Mb Splendid grand and a large Acc bass and a very large drum kit all
with the 32bit float setting activated.

Asus Probe tells me that 99% of my 384 Mb physical memory is used and
paging file use is 613Mb (1664 total 1051 free). The hard drive is working
on sustained notes and I get some stuttering and stuff when I play new
notesI haven't hit previously while recording .

Playback of the recorded sequences is perfect with my little
bass/piano/drums trio. I still have the VSM dll sitting in Windows system
and Logic directories -- don't know which is doing the business at present.

Nice to see this feature implemented and available to 4.8.1 users.

Murray

What large drumkit could that be, any recommendations?

I like some of the 24 bit Wizoo kits that come with the LM4.
I converted some to EXS24 instruments -- laboriously I might add.
