EXS24 does not translate tunings of Akai discs. The wording on Emagics site
suggests full support but this is not so. Check out "CD extract" if you have
a PC. It can do what EXS24 cannot. Happy hoop jumping.

Hi,
Well, I've had pretty good luck going with the libraries that advertised
they were compatible when I bought the EXS. Demo CD's came in the box(ie
the best service demo). But I've had a few problems. CD extract, i take
it. doesn't work on a MAC. Also, is there any work being done on the
hanging note and latency issues.? Thanks

These libraries must be percussive. It's not a matter of luck, it's a matter
of fact. ESX won't translate the tunings of any Akai disc and I won't buy it
until it does. After all, it is advertised as supporting this format.
Anyway I have two other samplers. I'm just lusting after
integration......and a TDM version so I can use it in PTools. Now I'm
really dreaming.

Thanx for replying, but as I wrote the problem is still there when I make my
own exs-instr. and not just with the converted AKAI instr. Could it be a
driver problem...? I'm on PC using the ASIO driver because there's no
latency then...

Hi Phil,
No they are not percussive samples. Advanced orchestra. the upgrade and
ethnoworld all work just great. I have a sample now and then that won't
load but the tunnings are fine. I've been puzzled by all of the tuning
talk and also by the lack of talk concerning latency and hanging notes.
Those are my nightmares. Do you have the latest of everything?

Re: [exs]Pitching instruments...

Well now I'm having a problem with sample tuning. I have a legal,
non-cracked registered version of exs. I have made a new instrument with
samples from an audio Advanced Orchestra sample cd. It is out of tune. I
have logic gold windows 4.5. Anyone know what the fix for this is?
