EXS 24 Logic Sampler Users Group

I have a problem that I hope someone out there can help me with.  I've been
forced to downgrade from a G4 Mac (9.04) to a G3 (9.2).  My G4 managed to
successfully convert several Akai sample CDs, but the G3 won't perform the
same operation.  It does recognize that a CD has been inserted in the
drive...but it just sits there, cursor spinning, and eventually ejects the
CD.  Emagic suggested that I needed to update the CD/DVD driver in the G3--I
checked, however, and it is ok..in fact, it's newer than the driver in the
G4.  I am following the instructions carefully, selected "convert", then
installing the CD, etc.

I'm at a loss...I did recently upgrade the G3's system software from 8.6 to
9.2, via 9.0 and 9.1.  Is there a chance that anything pertinent got mangled
or trashed?  I'd appreciate anyone's advice.  Thanks!
